Beautiful day

It's been a great day so far. I woke up early and watched 3:10 to Yuma, with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Loved the film, especially the intentionally cheesy music. We bought 10 films over the weekend, and I've so far seen Lars and the Real Girl (which I loved and cried throughout the last half), Atonement (bored stiff, but the camera and the music were awesome) and will try to see No Country for Old Men today, if my computer cooperates.

I'm a big fan of Javier Bardem from Before Night Falls, and Tilda Swinton from The Deep End and the Chronicles of Narnia. They both won oscars. I liked La Vie en Rose, with Marion Cotillard, who won best actress, but didn't like it that much. I bought There Will be Blood, but couldn't get it to play on my computer.

My maintenance guy called me up a few minutes ago, and told me that I have running water again, after six weeks when the pipes were frozen. I had to hand wash my two jeans over the weekend, but I needed some clean clothes before my Egypt trip, if it happens.

My government counterpart also appreciated my efforts for last four months. I worked really hard to produce this report, and now it's all coming together.

Life is good. You just need some good movies to keep you going, that's the lesson of this weekend.
