If you were not here...

Where would you rather be?

I was turning the pages of this old notebook I had since 1986, when I left home. It listed my wish list of places to visit.

So from 1986 to 1992, the list had the following four places scribbled: Pompeii (Italy), Tierra del Fuego (Argentina), Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), and Marseille (France).

Each of the places has a book attached to it: Last days of Pompeii (Italy), Amphibian Man (Argentina), Mountain of the Moon (Rhodesia) and Count of Monte Cristo (France).

Interestingly enough, I haven't really thought about some of these places lately. I've begun reading Jules Verne's books again online. He was my favorite author for a long time.

Here's my list of visited countries. I've visited every continent other than Europe and Antarctica.

Soon.
