Mute giraffes, quadruplet armadillos and hiccuping roaches

No, not a list of my past relationships. Just a snapshot of last week's Bob and Sheri Science Thursday, or Trivial Pursuit, or whatever. I'm telling you, if you're not listening to Bob and Sheri podcast, you're missing out! They also have live streaming at their website, if you must have it.

OK, so the fun facts from November 09 show, or what I remember:

  • Giraffes have no vocal cord, so they can't make noises

  • Armadillos are born in identical quadruplets, all four of them either male or female

  • Rats can't vomit, so if you leave alcohol for them, they'll drink and die

  • Cockroaches can't burp, so if you feed them coke or any fizzy drink, they explode

  • Ants get confused by white chalk marks, which they

  • Commando's do not wear underwear, since they chafe.

  • Female ferrets, but not males, if they do not have sex, die.

  • Lobsters do not have vocal cords either, but when they are put in boiling water, the air inside them come out through small holes, so they make noises

  • Barnacles (who?) have the largest male organ in proportion to their body

Now you have all this knowledge. Put it to good use, ya hear?
