I've been a bit distracted with classes to really talk about the surreal experience of dealing with death in the family. I'll post some further notes in next couple of days.Here's a picture I took while riding in the truck carrying my uncle's body to the mosque for janaja (prayer services).
We were stopped in a rail crossing, and I took this picture. It was an enlightening experience watching something so big pass by so quickly.
