Customer Service

I went to a very famous camera store in Manhattan the other day. Someone from Best Buy suggested I go there for my specific camera need.

I received the rudest customer service of all time from an Orthodox Jewish guy with curly hair and a skull cap.

I am from Bangladesh, and am used to indifferent service. But this guy was the most unhelpful guy I have ever encountered. He clicked on something online, checked something and then opened his drawer, and said, "this is what you need, and it's $24.95". I mumbled some follow up question, to which, he said, "this is what you need, the payment counter is that way". And he printed an invoice and handed it over. That's it. No explanation, no discussion, no suggestion.

I got so annoyed, that I went to the payment counter, and even though I knew that the product is probably what I was looking for, I returned the product and invoice, and walked away empty-handed.

After coming back, I went to the store's website, and found similar customer feedback. People said that the salespeople were condescending and rude.

I will soon forget this, but I am afraid, the store will continue to annoy people.
