I caught this countdown in front of the TianAnMen Square when I was in Beijing back in September 2006. If you look closely, the olympics was then 700 days away. Suddenly, it's so close now. It's amazing how fast days go by.the other half of my title refers to my experience watching Beowulf, an animated movie about some ancient poem. In it, Ray Whinston fights with a beast in animated nakedness. I found that very distracting to the story and the animation. The animation was done well, but could this movie have been more entertaining without a naked Angelina Jolie? OK, maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here.
Who was it (Update: Potter Stewart) that said "I know it when I see it"? I guess obscenity is in the eye of the beholder.
