Blue Mosque of Herat

the Jame Mosque, or Friday Mosque of Herat was originally built in 13th century and was rebuilt again in 15th century, and was restored in 1949. The topmost photo is the southern side, from outside
the intricate design is from Iranian influence, and there are elaborate decorations in all the entrances.
This is the inside of the compound, which is packed for friday prayer. There are also rooms inside for people to bring books and study at night.
Since it's almost near the center of the city, roads leading to the osque provide stunning view.
