High on a hill was a lonely whatchammacallit

Between 1980 and 1994, I have watched the Sound of Music at least 50 times. I've blogged about it at least once, I think.

Now, here's the thing, I never could figure out what a "Lonely Goatherd" meant. I blame Julie Andrews' accent.

I always heard Goa-tha-rd, and combined with Anglo-pseudo Austrian accent, I thought this was some exotic sounding title.

Only this morning, as I was browsing wikipedia, I figured out that it has something to do with a GOAT!!!!!

Okay, this is not like discovering Pluto (Erm, bad example), but at least I learnt something new today.
