Your blog post was so depressing about depression!
I looked at the study a different way-- the good news is that it's a myth that old people are unhappy because they're old.
There's a fun book called Authentic Happiness and another one called the How of Happiness. They review the many happiness studies. A lot of it all depends how you ask the question, and how you live each hour of your day... interestingly, parapalegics and lottery winners feel about as happy or depressed as they were before they were
struck by good luck or bad luck about six months afterward. In other news, hey, is that Sean on CNN?http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/living/2008/01/31/budget.travel.beijing.olympics.cnn?iref=videosearch

Good Rebuttal
My friend Sean sent me a very articulate quick rebuttal of my previous entry. I agree with him so much, i'm just gonna quote him. He's also been featured on CNN about Beijing Olympics budget travel, so I'm copying the link too. Thanks, Sean, for injecting some amount of sanity. Not that sanity is a big highlight of my blog.
