I went to Paghman for a training last week. it is a holiday retreat place, with a replica of Arc de Triumph, built by Amanullah Khan in the 1920s after his trip to Europe. I was only there for two hours, but the sleepy town, with trees and flowing water really cheered me up.

We took a walk and found this mansion being rebuilt. Even though Paghman has been destroyed significantly during war, efforts are underway to make it the popular holiday destination it once was.

After I came back from my trip, I found out that during my trip, a rocket was launched from Paghman to Kabul, and it damaged one of the hotels here. But that's life for you in Kabul.

And the hills gave me the opportunity to wade through goats, some of whom just walked toward me.
