Ode to Waiting

Sometimes, we wait, and we wonder. We wait some more, and we wonder some more. And then we give up, we move on, or find something else to wait for.

Even though I come across as the jitterbug or the impatient, I've made a career out of waiting. It's either waiting for someone to look my way, waiting for someone to become available, waiting for something to come by, waiting for a signal, waiting for divine intervention, waiting for storms to brew over, hurts to pass, bad memories to disappear.

While life slithers away, youth fades away, and the moon becomes more and more distant, and harder to reach.
