One unusual evening, my brother and I both happened to be at home, and I kept the TV on because I wanted to catch Grey's Anatomy. We were sitting in the living room for no reason, and American Idol was just about to end. That was the Dianna Ross week, and the last performer was some teenager named Jordin Sparks. I had my back toward the TV, and head inside the refriegerator. She started to sing this song, "If we hold on together", which I haven't heard in like 10 years.She blew both of us away.
We were glued to the couch, and when the song ended, my brother, who's not a connoiseur of these things, said, she has a great voice.
I'm not a big follower of American Idol. But this season, because of Bob and Sheri's commentaries and having the TV in my room, I've sorta followed her rise through the ranks. And this week she's a finalist.
I think she should win. Here's hoping.
