Pesco peeves

I had an unappetizing conversation at lunch on thursday. One of my colleagues was making a point about consumer unawareness. He said that, instead of the popular fried pomfret, the restaurants now serve fried "african magur" which is much cheaper to produce. I've heard about this fish, but didn't know much about it. He explained that this is piranha we are talking about. And apparently, in one of the ponds in BDR, which I passed by many a times, piranhas are cultivated. He continued with an urban legend that a young boy fell into the pond, and only his bones were recovered about two hours later. The fishes ate the boy, apparently.
I love fish, and consume a lot of it every week. And pomfrets are my favorite. But now, everytime, I'm gonna wonder if I'm being fed piranhas.

The other interesting thing is this series of animation shorts promoted at Bob and Sheri. The series is by Lev Yilmaz called Tales of mere existence. The particular short was called "How to break up with your Girlfriend in 64 easy steps".
I started laughing when I heard it. But then I started wondering if my prior relationships could be summed up like that. In 64 easy steps.
Hmm. Worth a try.
