The pic on left is Bophaya Temple in Bagan, the former capital of Myanmar. There are over 2,000 temples in this serene city. I went there on a morning flight (at 6.15am) and came back in the evening. This trip was significant to me because of several reasons:
1. I had to travel alone for ten hours, limiting my conversations to "no money", "no buy"
2. I had to rely on kindness and expertise of strangers for taking my picture with important landmarks of Bagan
3. After walking for 6 hours non-stop, I had to put the mind-over-matter theory to test, and will myself to walk 6 miles to the airport in 3 hours. My ankles hurt for four days after that
4. I had plenty of time reflect on the chaos that is my life. I think it's the point of having so many buddhas around.
This picture is of Gawdapalin Temple, very close to the archaeological museum.
